I’m at a palace. The palace of Princess Pahvani . there’s a great big dinner or lunch happening it’s very very hot. We are eating chicken sandwiches. there’s a huge spread. Everyone’s quite uncomfortable. But then Princess Pahvani in her incredibly beautiful turquoise peacock blue dress and jeweled gown plunges into the icy cold pool next to the feast. It’s a scandalous thing to do, but after all she’s a princess and she can do what she wants. She cools down immediately in the delicious cold water. fully dressed. Afterwards, she gets up and she begins to walk down the center sort of platform in the middle of the pool. Others follow and begin to swim and cool themselves down jumping in the water. Except for one woman, her friend or courtier in a red sequined gown, who holds out of towel for her and helps her to dry off. Princess Princess Pahvani says thank you, very graciously oh, and the woman says you’re welcome
And then they talk. They’re friends, Rivals, something like that. Princess Princess Pahvani wonders how the young woman could be so kind to her oh, she who has fewer advantages. Why isn’t she just jealous and angry? And the young woman says that they are better than that. and that why can’t they be friends. She wants to live in a world where such people can be friends.
