(dreamed Friday morning) Papa and I are walking down Rattlesnake Gutter, around the bend, and I see a great curve of trees, birch trees, that have been woven together into a living lattice. On one side there are great pink blooms. It’s very beautiful. It’s an art project someone’s doing. Papa wonders if it’s Ivy’s dad, Elliott. I say I don’t think so. I think it’s a different family that lives there. As we pass by I see a greenhouse misted up with condensation in the cold. Macaylla is in there. I’m not sure what he’s doing but it’s certainly an art project. it’s more like construction of some kind.
We go and say hi. Papa says hi Duncan. I know that’s the wrong name. So when I say hi I deliberately say Macaylla’s name very clearly. We exchange pleasantries and Macaylla explains what he’s doing. We walked further into the property on our way out toward the street and we see the owners, several of them. They don’t mind us walking through. The woman has a little dog. It’s pooping everywhere and it’s hard to walk around. Uncle Bone is with us.
Then we go into another greenhouse and it’s full of orange trees. Oranges are thickly growing and it’s very lush. The guy who owns the property is there. I’m not sure what he’s doing but I have an impression that whatever it is, it takes a lot of work to keep this big property up and running. As we are leaving he offers us some stuff, I can’t remember what, maybe it’s a piece of metal, junk of some sort. We exchange conversation about our house and how hard we’ve worked on it. Papa says, joking, that we’re fixing it up for him to buy next.
Then I’m walking around – now I’m on my own – and I come across a wedding party . I think it’s Alison Kaskel. She’s finally found someone. In her wedding party is Lauren Kaskel of course and a couple of other people. Allison remembers me. She says that she was lost for many years and then she was found. I see a newspaper article referring to her confusion and some crime she committed maybe, for negligence of a child. But she seems to hope that’s over now. 6:56am
